Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, including for analytics and advertising, and how you can control them.

Last updated: October 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags and local storage. They help websites work, remember your choices, measure how the site is used and, with your permission, show you relevant adverts. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".

Your consent

When you first visit our website we ask for your consent before setting any cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can Accept all or Reject them. If you reject, we only use strictly necessary cookies and our Google tags run in a restricted mode (Google Consent Mode) that does not set analytics or advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button shown at the bottom of every page.

The cookies we use

The exact cookies set depend on which services are active on the site at the time and on your choices. Third-party providers may change the names and durations of their cookies.

wordpress_*, wp-settings-* – WordPress – only set if you log in to manage the website – session to 12 months
Security and spam protection – short-lived technical data used to protect our enquiry form from spam (no cookie is set for normal visitors)

_ga_<ID> – Google Analytics – keeps track of your visit – 2 years
Phone and email click counts – Culligan Parks – counts clicks on our phone and email links by page; no cookie and no personal details are stored

Advertising and remarketing (consent required)

Used by Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other advertising platforms we may use to measure which adverts lead to enquiries, show our adverts to people who have visited our website, and limit how often you see an advert.

Embedded content and fonts

Some pages may include content from other websites, such as YouTube videos or Google Maps. These services may set their own cookies when you play a video or use a map, and are covered by their own cookie policies. Our website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver the font files but does not set cookies.

YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE – YouTube – video playback and statistics – session to 6 months
NID – Google Maps – remembers map preferences – 6 months

Advertising platforms and your data

Google, Meta and other advertising platforms use the information collected by their cookies in line with their own privacy policies, and may combine it with information they already hold about you if you have an account with them. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Meta's cookie policy. For more about how we use personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.

How to manage cookies

• On our website – use the cookie settings button at the bottom of any page to change your choice.
• In your browser – most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of websites working.
• Google – manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Meta – manage ads on Facebook and Instagram in Ad Preferences.
• Other advertisers – you can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at youronlinechoices.com.

If you withdraw consent, cookies already set may remain on your device until they expire or you delete them in your browser.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the cookies or services we use change, for example if we start advertising on a new platform. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
